I've made most of this trip but it took these comments to bring much of it
back to me (though when Ed was so kind as to let me copy his annotated
topographic maps it also came back to me)

Maybe in my "copious spare time"(*) I'll go out and take some pictures.

(*) actually I'm often able to take pictures when i'm doing something
else, or when i get really frustrated with whatever i'm doing and i run
away for a while.
