Charlie,
We can all comment, "If only they had saved...", but I agree that
overall, PTM, has had a good a balance of
acquisition/restoration/operation/interpretation (the "Four 'Shuns"?),
especially considering its limited resources.
And, your commentary below contains a gem of an aphorism that I'd like to
use as a rotating signature on my e-mails:
*** You can't save everything. ***
But, do I have to add an obligatory credit line ("Aphorism by Charles
Brown, collection of Bob Rathke")? :-)
