Yes, indeed!  That is the biggest problem with attempting to trace an old
carline.

I know that I must have come across some old p.r.w. paths on a drive up to
Pleasant Unity a couple weekends ago.  There were some detours because a large
section of route 981 was closed.  When we left Pleasant Unity, we side-tracked
over to Uniontown and every now and then, I noted areas that appeared to support
side-of-road trackage and weed-grown paths off of main streets.   Not sure if
they were old West Penn rights-of-way or not, but maybe in the fall, I'll travel
up there again and see.

Incidentally, did West Penn go to or through Pleasant Unity at all?
