West Penn Today - Greensburg and Latrobe

So what are the tracks in the photo? I can only assume that turnouts were
in place that allowed the 33 cars to get to route 40. My guess for doing so
would be to get the 33 cars to SHJ.

Route 33 went around the West End and up Woodruff Street. It did not pass
SHJ.

Junction = South Hills Junction?

Of course 40 went to SHJ. But 33? Didn't it terminate on Mt. Washington?
Or did it originally also go to SHJ?

Just wondering. And the picture brings back some high school memories.
Thanks, Bob.
