Thanks for pointing this out Ed, I updated the web page. When I first put
the Web together I somehow got confused with the dates and last night I
discovered how that happened. All the documentation I have indicated 1904
as the completion. But Ed sent me a cost estimate for the Administration
Building dated 1907 http://www.voicenet.com/~dietrich/SHJ/costs.htm This
begs another question - When was the building constructed? If this was
really an estimate then the building would date to 1907 or 1908 making that
old picture in that date range also. Then again the document could be an
after the fact estimate of the costs. It also could have a typo on the
date...
As for that sign hanging from the overhead at the tunnel entrance --
http://www.voicenet.com/~dietrich/SHJ/oldover.htm My guess it says, in the
best Pennsylvania tunnel speak, "Don't cross the center line." :)
As indicated above I updated the Web page with several things that needed
done:
1. Dates were corrected.
2. Some of the Bob Schmidt photo collection have been added to the Picture
Tour. Others will go to the Cars page when I get to it. The page listing
all of bob's photo's is still available.
3. I updated the module progress and added a page on building turnouts using
the modified Orr switches.
As always please send me your comments, criticisms, and corrections.
Thanks
Bob
