Just a little excerpt from a letter to a friend. We were lamenting Kenosha's
decision to not honor the original local rail transit service with a car painted
in their scheme:
"Why all those other cities that had nothing to do with Southeastern Wisconsin?
Since none of the cars are authentic anyway (i.e., in TTC paint) I see no reason
for Kenosha to honor other PCC cities. Oh, and I'm a bit ticked off at Muni for
not honoring one of the major players in PCC developement and usage, Pittsburgh.
My fantasy is that they need more cars for the F-Line and that Westinghouse
rescues a privately held 1600 and 1700. They contribute the funds to restore the
former in its original red front 1945 paint and the 17 in its fabulous 1948-49
white front scheme."
Jim Holland needs to go down to the shops and management office to slap some
sense into his coworkers and bosses! :-) Ken J.
