My recollection may not be 100% accurate, but here it is.

As I recall, I was at the south end of the tunnel snapping a shot of an outbound
1600 interurban repainted in a red/white/red "mod" paint scheme. The car was one of
the "double enders." I turned to get a rear shot of the car and saw another fan
snapping a shot of the car coming toward him. I approached the gentlemen and we
began talking about this and that. An inbound green/white/green 1700 interurban
came down the grade from the Overbrook line heading toward the tunnel. The fan I
was with mentioned that the motorman was a guy named Charlie. He explained that the
guy had slowed down with age, but that he was a real hot rodder in his day.

We caught an outbound 42 Dormont 1600 in a yellow/white/yellow "mod" scheme. The
car was sent all the way to Clearview Loop due to Christmas shopping and the
approaching rush hour. The car was in a line up with 1730 and another 1700 painted
up in green/white/green. The fan and I entered the Mt. Lebanon parking garage and
I drove him back to South Hills Junction. He wrote his name and address on a
schedule (which I still have but probably won't access for a while.) He live in
Waukegan, Illinois. I remember wondering why I never saw him on any CERA fan trips,
or why I never ran in to him before at East Troy, IRM or Fox River.

Here are some of the images from that, including the yellow and white 1600 we
rode:
