My photo of this car shows the complete restaurant and more of the
homes on the hill above.
Additionally, I also took this photo of 1780::

My photo of 1730 is more broadside.

This is the same car as was sitting behind 1730 when I photographed
them! And the angle is almost identical buy my photo shows a *real--17*
immediately behind this one!

So you say we met at SHJ - and then rode a trolleycar to Clearview?!?!
Don't remember any of that - just remember taking the photos! Don't
remember anyone talking to me - don't remember riding in your car. I
strain trying to remember this and think I do - but think I do because
of persuasion, not because I actually remember. This is embarrassing!
You must have just gotten your license - strange I would ride with
someone who just got a license!!! I usually drove to Pgh but must have
flown to avoid snow problems!
It was January of 1977 when I received my call from SF-Muni and was
operating PCCs in Feb of 1977!! Didn't know at the time that this would
be my last trip home to the Burgh!

The ex-16 in this photo is signed for 42-Dormont here -- I seriously
doubt it was signed as such when we boarded. On the next trip outbound
the car probably went only as far as the Dormont wye so he set the signs
at this point for that trip.
I have a much older photo of a car inbound at SHJ on the 44--47--48
that is signed for 50-Carson. I would assume that the car is coming off
the 47-line and not the 44-48 as the route downtown for the 47 and 50
lines is the same.
