Greetings!

Quite a while back I made up a list of sources for photos. I posted
this to the various trolleycar lists in addition to the newsgroup of
news::alt.binaries.pictures.rail which is mostly railroad but also
trolleycars and trams from around the world.
When I posted in this newsgroup, I had received permission from
*Railroad Avenue Enterprizes* one or two others to include a couple
sample shots with my listing -- free advertizing for these companies!
I was quite pleased with the photos I had purchased and hoped others
would be as well - and might purchase!
I posted other photos, some I personally took and some which I
purchased from Russel Schramm - negatives and prints. These were all
identified as to photographer when I posted to the newsgroup.
Dave's policy at that time was that if it gets posted a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e
on the web it is fair game for his website -- so my photos wound up
there but without the proper photo credits.
If you haven't seen these photos, they are near the bottom of this
page: http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/pitts.html.

	http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/jpg/pitt120.jpg shows interurban
1717 at night on the Library line -- some of the difference in
brightness between the roof light and headlight is apparent here. This
is a photo I took.
But this is one of my most favorite photos::
http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/jpg/pitt156.jpg. This is near
Memorial Day of 1949 and the interurban 1716 is about 3-4 months old!
Note 1763 immediately behind on the 42-Dormont; this is one photo I have
used to determine original assignments of some cars (with 1763--1769
being stationed in South Hills originally - have shots of most of these
cars within a year or two of purchase!) And that is a 16-interurban
heading inbound - you can tell by the Earll retriever below the window -
note the mark where the cathcer had been centered above the windows!
Please note that Dave did give credit to *Railroad Avenue Enterprizes*
in the bottom right of the photo; he did not do this for the other
photos I purchased for some reason.
As a result of this photo, 1716 is now one of my favorite cars. Also
have photos of it about the same time from John Brinckman but in
Charleroi itself! But 1716 was a non-descript car when I knew her -
actually avoided riding it (best performing interurban cars when I was
riding in the late 1950s were 1705, 1707, 1708, 1709, 1710, 1712, 1714,
1715, 1717, 1718, 1721, 1723.)
Look at the little budding railfan in this photo:
http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/jpg/pitt155.jpg -- he can't take
his eyes off the car. The car is almost new here and is using the old
loop downtown for West End cars - 1796 is on Penn ready to turn right
into Stanwix. Dave did credit Harold A. Smith - another very good
source for photos.
Interurban 1616 is probably a rush-hour Riverview tripper
http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/jpg/pitt135.jpg -- the car is
wyeing to go back to Pgh - the pole is already on the turn. But the
turn track is also part of a loop for the Donora local cars which looped
here to return south to Donora. This is a Russel Schramm photo. From
another photo source, I also have a photo of 1716 south at this
location, and from the rear, but a little different angle and just
before the car crosses the trailing turnout.
This photo from Russel Schramm helped me to determine that the 1620s
were stationed in South Hills about 1950 - two trippers on Shannon.
http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/jpg/pitt137.jpg. Pat Healy,
former PRCo / pat operator that PTM relies on for good information, also
confirms that 1620--1629 were in South Hills.
I have this same identical photo of 1630 from 2-3 different sources:
http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/jpg/pitt157.jpg. It is very
evident when one takes a photo of a photo and that is not the case with
this one - each one looks like it comes from an original negative.
Could very well have been a number of fans standing side by side for
this momentous occasion. This car was delivered on 1945.09.18 and was
in service on 1945.09.22. The fact that 1630 ended up in South Hills
after the closing of Highland also helps to confirm that 1620--1629 were
in South Hills -- keeps the cars in number sequence.
