I think the last 21 trip was operated by a man who formerly worked the
interurbans (his family loaned us some photos a few years back) and who is
deceased.

At least two or three times in the past eight months I've read comments
about a "little old man" who claims he was the motorman on the last trip
on 21-Fineview (April 30, 1966); however, his claim has been questioned
because "he looked too old - or too short - to have been a motorman even
30+ years ago".  I just viewed some photos I took of the last car on
Fineview, and in particular, a shot of the motorman who's standing at the
front of the car (along with John Dameron).  The motorman's face isn't
completely shown, but he doesn't look that old, and he appears to be at
least 5'10" tall (judging from the height of the ceiling in the PCC).

For whatever it's worth...in case the mystery retired motorman ever
approaches you.
