Thanks for remembering Ken.
Did the bus run the same route as the streetcars? It seems to me that they
did not go the Bertha- Sycamore- Shiloh route, but went from Grandview Ave.
to Virginia Ave via Bingham St. ort Merrimac St. which were wider and
straighter.

During a few months at Collier Division (bus) I did run the Mt. Washington
bus. The route was always serviced by GMC or Flxibles. No 40 foot buses
could
navigate the turns and tight streets. The only time anything adverse ever
happened was when a heavy snowfall began around 3:00 PM and continued
through
the rush hour. I and my follow and my leader were all stuck at the same
spot,
unable to get up one of the hills. We all spent until around 11:00 PM on
scenic Mt. Washington.
