Thank you for the info about the author. However, I still need the source to buy the books. Kevin Farrell is a retailer; I need the wholesaler or distributor. If it is the author, I'd appreciate a phone number or an email address. Unfortunately, I was not a member of this chat group on Jan 12 when the book was evidentally discussed.
Yes, Kevin Farrell has prices discounted somewhat, and he now has a web page. Typically, the prices at the Berkshire Car Shop are lower at the shows and through the mail. Kevin goes over to check the other vendor's prices and then has to lower his. BCS sells only trolley related material whereas Kevin sells many railroad books and he frequents many railroad shows. Kind of like the hobby stores. Hobby stores may have a few trolley items, but their main business is anything else but trolley stuff. BCS sells kits, cars, parts, books, videos, plans. The typical problem with BCS is that selling is only a part time business with a staff of one. Letters with long inquiry requests are difficult to service, but phone discussions are easy to do. Phone and mail orders are processed promptly. A web page will be available soon, and BCS will be at the 5 or more trolley-only model shows in the US this year.
BCS also does a lot of model development work with builders and manufacturers. Sales help keep BCS as a source to the trolley hobby. Similarily, sales at the museum stores help the bottom line well beyond the cost of admission. I'm sure we all wonder if our kids will keep up our interests and hobbies.
