Hi guys!
It's only a guess, but car 1799 may have been on a re-route through
Allentown, down Arlington Ave. to E. Carson, and on over the Smithfield
Strreet bridge to downtown Pittsburgh due to a tie up in the Junction
tunnel either from an accident or repair work within. There were quite a
few occasions when South Hills routes were observed skirting Mt.
Washington because of tunnel trauma.
