That was the total number we were working with in 1975. I remember that if 
all AM-Peak Hour runs were filled on any weekday, PATransit would have had to 
have used the workcars to carry passengers. There were always one or two 
42/38 'trippers' which never were filled do to lack of equipment. This was 
really never noticed by the riders inasmuch as the public timetable always 
stated "frequent service until..." for the AM peak rather than having each 
trip listed on the schedule.
