No where near where I live - you know I am in the Sunset less than
20-short blocks form the Ocean. The trolleycars are on the other side
of the hill - east of Twin Peaks of which I am west!
I hear thru the grapevine (from other lists, so you know who told me)
that you will be spearheading the organization of a group to do the same
- revival of the 40-Mt.Washington line - only I hear that you recognize
there will be strong opposition to running it thru the tunnel so as the
IB-40 approaches SHJ it will use an overpass to Warrington Avenue and
then take the 49-line onto downtown Pgh. streets.
I really appreciate you undertaking such an, . . . well, . . .
undertaking! These things are more successful when organized by an
outsider because outsiders always have more credibility - that's an
historic fact! This is a blessed event for your
*P*ittsburgh-*R*ailways-*N*uts* to organize; gives some meaning to life,
the net, etc., etc., etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!
