Stumbled across the following while looking for something else last night:

PAT Light Rail Car Roster dtd 26 Mar 1980 lists 1798 as X1613 and 1799 as
X1640.

PAT Light Rail Car Roster dtd 14 May 1982 lists 1798 as X1613 and 1799 as
X1640.

(Both are internal memos from PAT's Transit Operations Division and
initialled OWM:MJS.  Would OWM be Oliver Miller who then worked for PAT?)

includes as Part IV  Rail Improvement Program for PAT routes 35 Library and
43 Beechview:  "Would include replacement of track, ties, ballast, .......
renovation of 70 PCC type streetcars....

(At time, PAT had around 125 PCC cars, of which only 69 remained from 1700
series.)
