40 revival/50 Carson St

I like Ray's idea of reviving the 50 line. For a heritage line to work,
it has gotta go to places that would attract tourists, and I like the
idea of a line that connects the two inclines.

As for what to run on it, Ed Metka has 6 Pittsburgh PCC's at his VESCO
outfit in Johnstown. Ron Jedlicka has at least one in his junkyard in
Ohio. And what was the disposition of the remaining 4000's after Drake
shut down last year?

Also, does Philadelphia have any PCC's left (I can't believe that 1/4
inch difference in gauge would matter that much)? New Orleans had a
couple of 900's up for grabs a few months ago (the third going to Jim
Holland's place of business). I've also heard that many museums that
got the Philly cars simply swapped trucks from Chicago's PCC El fleet.
Wonder what they did with the broad gauge trucks and could they be used
under a standard gauge PCC such as a Newark or Muni car.
