The cars were built in 1945 and 1946. The new 1945 model PCC should have been
the standard. It is my thinking that perhaps the cash shy PRCo. may have been
given some discounts in pricing to use up 1930s style front ends that St.
Louis Car Co. might have had lying in their factory. This is only a though.
However, it must be noted that most, if not all PCCs manufactured after the
end of W.W.II had the new 1945 style front end except for the PRCo. 1600s.
Just a thought. But may have some basis.
