TEA -- Historic Lines

Greetings!

Thanks, John! Others have claimed that the F-MARKET trolleycar line is
*not* a bonafide transit line - it is only historic - AND that the
majority of transit professionals consider it such! It is also claimed
that the funding establishes the context of the line - historic or
transit - and that Muni does not have legal and financial responsibility
for the line, so it can't be transit. Way off on the latter, yes; if
Muni doesn't have responsibility, then who does?
But I haven't found one transit professional, inside Muni or outside,
who has any knowledge of such.
Your comments here definitely help to clear the air.
So as I understand it, any further funds received by PAT or Muni or
BART or any other system could be considered TEA funds -- and many of
these systems have already accepted such funds for rail line
improvements.
