TEA -- Historic Lines

Greetings!

Are we really serious about doing something or are we still talking
*possibilities?*
And I prefer to stay away from the designation of *historic* because of
other problems associated with that designation. And as I mentioned
before, putting all the eggs in one basket can present problems.
Historic can be fad related and when that fad wears off, there goes the
line into oblivion again.
A need to cater to tourists is very good, but it should have basic
appeal from the locals who want to use it to both commute and shop on a
daily basis.
Single track is not very practical unless it is total prw - too much
traffic to counter. It has to be a part of the regional scene, not
dominate or be dominated by it. It has to deliver a real service - so
its basic appeal has to be to the locals.

proceed to survey the practicality of restoring on-street trolleycar
service related to downtown Pittsburgh - the route to be established
after all options are considered.
