I'd still think it possible that Bill could make out something of the sign but 
looking at his print with a lens. There's not much we can do with the 
scanned picture.

July 11, 1957. Not a near-final run, then. Troy Hill had closed five days 
earlier, Spring Garden and Spring Hill would run last on the 5th of October. 
It's a possibility that Mr. Roehm saw the handwriting on the wall when Troy 
Hill disappeared and decided to get cracking on photographing the North 
Side.....pure speculation, that.

However, except for the slight problem of the dirt track that may or may not 
be a street, the Woods Run terminus fits the picture remarkably well. And, 
given the position of the street sign, I'd guess that the dirt track is just that - 
a track.
