Car 1706, Corgi PCC's and photos

Actually,  Corgi hasn't been real good about using correct models, but their 
paint has been close to prototype.  They have used the same die cast boby for 
all their models, a standee window version of the PCC.   For example, their 
PE car has good paint and decals, but is a single end car.  So, when 
announced they were doing a 1700 for 2000 it was a surprise when the picture 
I saw had a roof vent.  I agree that
there were no 1700's in R-W-B, but now you can get one.  It is a shame they 
didn't decide to do a red-cream car and be close to correct for this group, 
at least.  
Probably marketing considerations overtake accuracy.
