Everyone diverges somewhat sometime. My Harrisburg foo is arguably
off-topic. As long as it's not blatant and repeated, and as long as it
doesn't irritate people away, I don't care.

Of course, maybe Harrisburg is western PA by virtue of not being
Philadelphia? ;-)

Anyhow... regarding South Side, something I forgot to mention is I saw no
sign of where the loop at 30th and Carson was, and based on the track
arrangement shown on the "PERC" track map and property line and building
info from a Sanborn map (why they wouldn't show "electric trackage" but
did show inclines and "electric rail right of way, Pittsburgh Railways Co"
on the Overbrook line I don't know) I think I know where it was and how it
was oriented.

The whole area has been or is being redeveloped thanks to the Urban
Redevlopment Authority of Pittsburgh; Even though they renovated the "hot
metal bridge" to provide traffic lanes, they didn't think to open that
bridge to traffic for the Glenwood Bridge (that's the Hays Bridge
replacement, for you old-timers;-) deck replacement closing...
