Realize there's a list trolley at railspot.com which is probably more
appropriate for such things; the idea is there are people there who don't
care about the specialization of this list, but may like to see what
you're posting about what you saw in England or whatever...

Which isn't to say every single post must be 100% on-topic, there's some
wiggle room here....

I think I said before, I'm not looking to rattle chains or smack anyone
around, but the idea is that 2 things happen:
1) people who are here because of the specialization don't get irritated
and leave because of all the extraneous crap
and
2) people who aren't here because of the specialization get the stuff they
might still be interested in which they wouldn't if it were posted here.

A bit like a library... the Pennsylvania Department at the Carnegie
Library of Pittsburgh isn't going to be at all useful if you want to read
about MUNI or whatever, but "Touring Pittsburgh by Trolley" isn't going to
be in Science and Technology with the general interest rail books either.

-D
-I wonder if the Carnegie has "Touring Pittsburgh..."; I should find out
and maybe donate a copy if not
