I remain convinced that we ought not be too picky about people straying off 
topic. Latitude begets enlightenment.

But it is also incumbent upon us not to be too quick to judge the remarks of 
others. In this case, we seem to have had some feathers ruffled between 
two highly valued members of the list. It's now time for the rest of us to let it 
go. The battle is won, after all.
