A couple of items.

1 - A few weeks back when we were talking about the GE 1700's I seem to
remember a question if they were used on Rt. 40 Mt. Washington. I just ran
across a photo of 1784 on Mt. Washington, painted in the hour glass front, no
date or other info, but I got the print from Bruce Young.

2 - I sent to Al Chione, PO Box 298, Durango, CO. 81302 (970-259-5609) for a
couple of his lists of slides for sale and while I didn't get the one I was
after I did get his current list No. 55. It has a slide set, number B-164
(Jim Buckley the photographer) of Pittsburgh Railways. 20 slides in the set
for $20.00 + $1.00 postage. Here is what is in the set: PCC 1161, 1702 and
1153 at South Hills Tunnel, 3713 at South Hills, 1209 and 1164 same, 3769 on
Brookline, 5514 and 5455 on Rt. 8, 1769 and 1723, then 4380 and 4383 at P&LE,
4928 South Hills, 1196 on Rt. 10, all slides to here taken on 7-11-51; 4732
unknown loc. on 7-4-52, 4375 Washington on 7-5-52, 1457 at 6th and Duquesne
on 4-25-59, 1273 on Rt. 65 on 9-7-59, 1658 on Smithfield Bridge at P&LE
station in Sept. 59.

He claims the orders are processed as they come in and nothing held in inv.
which means don't delay in ordering and it takes about 6 weeks to get your
order.

It has been quiet except for the trolley catcher, retreiver on e bay. As
Fred or Ken said, the descriptions are not always correct on there, as I
bought a Pittsburgh car stop sign from a guy in Mass. who claimed it was SF
as it came from that location.
Somebody from our list put me onto it some months back.
