I had to take some stuff upstairs so I looked at the drawer Fred mentioned.
There are two prints for this property, one drawn 5-14-25 and inspected
8-13-25, marked "See later layout plan," and the other dated 5-2-27. The
principal difference is that the original scheme of one exterior track along
the west side of the car house was replaced with one having three tracks on
the lot across the alley to the west.
When I review the construction order file, I found $11,854.90 in repairs to
both the old Plummer St. and Butler St. buildings between October 31 and
December 31, 1923 on COs 706 and 721, then $210,576.09 for "Alterations to
Plummer St. Car House and construction of Administration Building at the
same." This CO, #255, was issued 4-30-25 and closed 7-1-27. That does not
mean the work was finished then, but that the final accounting entry was
made on that date.
Then there is CO 323 for Plummer St Car Barn, opened 9-30-27 and closed
3-1-28, on which was expended $45,708.54 but for which no explanation is
recorded.
