We must live awfully boring lives -- that has happened m-a-n-y
times before and hasn't drawn this much criticism.
What I find strange is that I received blank messages as several people
apparently replied to this IKON; how is it that the following messages
from Bob and DF came thru to some people and not here? I have not seen
these as original messages - just as the quotes below!

Why don't you invite him to join?!?!::-->)<U-VBG>
We have corresponded privately and he is a congenial person but also
highly prejudiced. The North Shore Electroliners are absolutely no good
according to him, but in the final analysis, I finally determined that
this assessment is because he is wheel-chair bound and the doorways on
the Liner are too narrow for him to board.
And Bob is the one, who on that *other* list, claimed that the SF
F-Market is strictly an Historical Line and a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y n-o-t
transit. He cited a definition in addition to his credentials as a
*degreed* transit professional of almost a quarter-century. And he
claimed that railfans can call it what they want, but he shall stick to
the original definitions as supplied. He went on to state that Muni
does not have legal nor financial responsibility for the F-Market!
People on the list literally bowed doan and kissed his feet in awe of
his *knowledge.*
Turns out the definition he quoted and the source is strictly a railfan
publication. I queried John Swindler here on list about funding on an
Historical basis and he got quite perturbed with me. I tried to ask
general questions without being specific so as to not give away the
direction I was going. It turns out that funding strictly on an
Historical basis is not a criteria. Tranportation consultants with
Bechtel etc. also agree - no such category. NONE of the project
managers here on Muni know anything of this Historical classification.
And if Muni doesn't have legal and financial responsibility for the
line, who does?!?!
As a result, I DO NOT believe anything that Bob says without
evidence from other sources. This is something that could happen to any
of us, but seems to be most pronounced with Bob!
