At the website, Bob says:
"I decided to put all power supplies, control relays, and the control
panel in a separate box that will just fit under the module. The only
electrical accessories that will be located on the module itself are
those that can't be moved to the control box - switch machines and
wires. The box will be connected to the module with cables, allowing it
to be transported separately. The control panel will be the top of the
box. What do you think about this arrangement?"
Is there any special reason to make it detachable? Building it in
underneath will avoid the possibility of forgetting it during transport.
With all the relays in one spot, would it be a good idea to
*sound-proof* - or at least sound-dampen - the box?
Clever idea for the derails - circuitry exists for pausing at stations
- this can be included with an interlock.
Do you personally think you will build other modules to suit - or at
least encourage others so to do!!?? A 40-line module would be a natural
extension as well as a yard module to hold spare equipment!!
Looks absolutely super, Bob -- MANY THANKS for keeping us updated!
