	Gleanings  From  *Trolley  Fare*
		January--1964

	"Three derailments have been reported of 40 Mt Washington cars, at the
switch where 40 joins 42.  In each case the rear truck only left the
rails, in one case the car demolished a line-side pole.  PAT has changed
its mind on outside vehicle advertising and has been offered $1 million
for a five year advertising contract.  This will be very welcome, as the
November loss of $299,500 brings the loss in 9 months of last year to
$1.5 million."
