Greetings!

	Gleanings From *Trolley Fare*
		March--1965

"58 people, the majority from out of town, boarded PCC 1500 last
February 20th and made an extensive tour of a wintry snow covered
Pittsburgh. Jack Connell was the motorman spending a good proportion of
the time with his right flot flat on the floor. (1500 is not one of
PAT's fastest cars.) The Port Authority now requires all cars chartered
by groups to carry a supervisor and PRMA director John Baxter very
kindly came along to save the association this expense. John works in
PAT's Planning Department. He and the members of the trip committee had
to stand as all the seats were taken. 1500 had been temporarily fitted
with a public address system and we were able to point out many items of
interest to our friends from out of town. Numerous photo stops
prevented the trip keeping on schedule, and resulted in slight route
changes."
"A series of stops on Fineview kept the cameras busy, we noticed the
eyes popping on some visitors who had never ridden this line before.
This is Pittsburgh's wonderful best, and it is a great pity that it is
not going to be with us for much longer."
