Greetings!
Gleanings From *Trolley Fare*
March--1965
"Meanwhile PAT is having a struggle to keep running, a large spate of
breakdowns has kept maintenance working full time on repairing vehicles,
and any preventive or scheduled maintenance is nil. This is a short
path to disaster with no immediate signs of improvement, Craft Avenue is
unable to fill all its scheduled rush hour trips some days, and the
other barns are little better. Breakdowns in the rush hour usually
result in the cancellation of all trips for the respective cripple.
This is a sad reflection on the Port Authoritie's take-over policy, as
there several dozen servicible cars sitting gathering dust in Rankin Car
House."
