Greetings!

	Gleanings From *Trolley Fare*
		April--1965

Rather than quote a rather lengthy article about shortages of
equipment, I shall try to summarize events.
When PAT took over in 1964, PRMA members wondered how PAT would
maintain service with 286-cars when PRCo used 321 for the same identical
service.
The only trolley line conversions were just a part of 55, 22 and 58 but
this does extremely little for increasing availability of equipment.
One PRMA member stood out waiting for one of two 65/55 cars to show for
photographs. When it didn't show, he waited for the second one only to
find it was a No-Show as well - NO cars on this line in the PM rush.
Then there is the constant shifting of cars between Tunnel and Craft -
seems the latter needs more cars for the PM rush while Tunnel needs them
for the AM rush! Cars 1508 and 1518 have been regular *shuttle* cars
for assignments at both Tunnel and Craft.

"V-fronts are still dissappearing, 1735 being the latest to go. New
Wheels still the order of the day, 1458, 1414, 1439, 1550, and 1559
being recently done."
