1. I bought the negatives on behalf of the PTM Library. They are all
basically 3/4 views of cars at either the Connellsville Terminal or at the
Shops, and many are badly silvered. FWS brought over some chemicals last
trip to make a witches' brew to clean them, but that was right before it was
time to leave for September, so they haven't been touched yet.
2. The body of 728 is housed indoors by its owner, Ed Mitchell. It sits on
Philadelphia sweeper trucks. Ed collects to collect. He's an extremely
personable fellow and understands completely that what he does is not always
perceived by the rest of the world as "logical," but he does what he does to
satisfy himself.

Subject: West Penn Railways questions - 10-01-00
I have a couple of questions this morning:
1 - In a recent Trolley Talk magazine there was a non commercial ad from a
Robert Gigliotti who lives in western PA. He had for sale about 1,000 negs
taken from 1938-1943, mainly B&O and West Penn and some other lines too. I
emailed him to see if he would sell prints of the West Penn but never heard
from him. I know Cliff Scholls did not buy the negatives as I talked to
cliff
, but does anyone know him or know of the disposition of the West Penn negs?
2 - I have both heard of and seen the photo of some 700 bodies sitting in
Uniontown,
was it in Trolley Fare, and a couple of recent references in this group to
the owner, who also has some PCC's and now we hear an 800. Can someone tell
us a bit about either the owner or the cars, why he has them, intentions,
whatever.
