Some comments on the bus roster:

- The Mack buses delivered in October, 1957 were assigned to the Spring
Hill and Spring Garden routes immediately after trolleys were
discontinued on routes 1 and 5, but they were soon replaced with 1950's
GM buses, and by 1960 the Small Brill buses were running on these routes
on weekends. The Macks were a bit slow climbing Spring Hill, but they
shouldn't have had any trouble on flat Spring Garden. The Macks were
also used on routes 2 and 3.

- PRC's November, 1960 bus was supposed to be the very last of the
old-look buses built by GM. I assume PRC got a good deal on them because
the new fishbowl buses were operating for some independent Pittsburgh bus
companies (e.g., Horrell Transportation Co. of Mt. Troy) since mid-1960.
PRC didn't get its first firbowls until around 1962; they were called
"Downtowners" and operated mainly on the East End express routes.

- PRC's 279 buses in 1961 probably had the capacity of 200 PCC's,
especially considering that about 80 of those buses were small Brills.
