I want to talk briefly about something you don't need, but can't do without.
I just received my 1700 Pittsburgh city car from St. Petersburg Tram, via
Holland
Electric Ry. (Jim Holland). The car is a static model in 1/48 (O scale).
>From what I had heard about this company from Russia, and the photos I had
seen I expected
a fine model. What I got was an outstanding, truly marvelous car.
If you are on good terms with Santa Claus, or believe you owe yourself a
treat, this is it. Everything is done right, the paint work, trim, lights,
interior, retreiver rope, you can't ask for more. I think the current price
is $225. plus shipping from Jim, and you might have to wait a year, but if
you like fine workmanship, and would like to have
a 1700 with your favorite car number, your favorite route and destination
sign, talk to Jim.
This is NOT a paid political announcement. Jim might even disagree with my
feelings as we know he does disagree sometimes, but I am just passing this on
to our group as one persons comment. You might want to look at St. P's web
site, which I got via the East Penn link and didn't record for you, but what
St. Pete offers is amazing, and there is more to come.
