>From aerial photo dated 7 April 1993 at USGS-mapping site, looks like site
of Loop now left field for little league baseball. Rest of right of way
wooded to South Bank, location of tunnel under ex. P&WV right of way and
access to Overbrook Line. Has not been built upon, and topo map suggests
right of way is border of park land. Housing is built on hilltop above ex
trolley line.

It might be that in years past, single track on Overbrook line Oak to
McKinley trestle area was operational bottleneck. That is, difficult enough
getting 35-36-37 rush hour service through passing sidings, thus adding 39
cars out of question. But today, has the existence of this right of way
been all but forgotten and overlooked?

So tell me what's outlandish about this idea and why I should forget about
it? Was it once considered and rejected????

Thanks
