1601 (or was it 1602?.....I'll have to check the photos) had an hourglass front
during the 1960's (probably 1602 since Harold Cox listed 1601 with a "V") and also
had a chronic rust spot just above the middle of the front anti-climber. It
received a repair and red "face" around 1966 or so, but was rusting through again
within a year.

I have a couple of shots of 1760, which for some reason, had its front repainted
red in the late 1960s. The new style numerals PAT used for their grey and later
their "mod" cars was applied, but the rest of the car was Pittsburgh Railways all
