CHARLES : Sorry , I aluded to the fact that Pittsburgh was vol 3 but it
actually was a 3 vol set on Pennsylvania Trolleys with Pittsburgh being
the vol 3. They also stated that the pre-PCC roster was so complex that
there was not enough room to include it in that book. This could open
the door for the Penn. Trolley Museum to publish a comprehensive roster
book ,[who else has the info ?] and probably make money selling such a
book if it was well done witha lot of pictures ! There always is a
market for this sort of thing as the BSRA has found out. Another aspect
is a comprehensive map of the interurban lines with present roads
added for R-O-W hunters like myself that would like to find where they
used to run. I tried to follow the Washington Line years ago and didnt
find a lot of it,. A city track map would also be nice . The very
first money making thing the Boston St. Ry. Assoc. had was a track map
of the operating trackage with yards added along one side. It sold out
and was reprinted later .
