No, not grumpy curmudgeon.  Truth sometimes hurts.  The CERA book was
not much more that the Pittsburgh Electric Railway Club's 1952 Review of
the West Penn Railways with some additional pictures.  A lot of the
wrong facts from the 1952 16 page magazine (such as West Penn went out
of business because of television) were repeated in the CERA book
because no one every looked for the truth.  Both of those books sadly
show how truth can be biased by railfans printing what they want to
believe.
