The manuscript for a vastly revised and expanded "Parkinson Book" has
resided on my computers for the last five years at least. I have added
stuff that the railfans of yore would never have thought of (like the
Traction Conference Board of the '20s and '30s, which governed the relations
with the City and other municipalities who chose to join), and more, but the
fact remains that it still sits there. One volunteer did some editing for
me and selected some pictures for consideration; another has volunteered to
write the captions.

Right now I still do not have time to move this project, much as I recognize
its desirability and the museum's need to have it. For those who have not
done book projects, they are pretty intense and eat up huge blocks of time,
and after a while they begin to control you rather than the other way
around. We got the Armstrong County book out because Dennis did the bulk of
the writing and because there was a finite number of illustrations from
which to choose. Also it was short, which allowed Bruce the time to set it
(in type) and endlessly adjust it as we made pictorial or editorial changes.
And it still came out with four (4) embarrassing (to me, at least, because
most readers wouldn't know they were wrong) errors!
