It is interesting to me that you noted this. As nearly everybody from our generation knows, John and the Boys were really big here in '64 & '65. The two week vacations we spent in Pittsburgh during the summer of both years were "soundtracked" by Beatles music playing on home phonographs, transistor radios, car radios and in music storess everywhere. Those early Beatles songs remind me of Pittsburgh and always will.

My father's twin brother Jules was also an engineer at Westinghouse. But he was a nuclear engineer and worked in Monroeville. He lived at 81 Mayfair Drive in Mt. Lebanon and was acquainted with C.D. Palmer, then one of the managers of Pittsburgh Railways. Mr. Palmer lived a couple of houses away at the time. Another neighbor allowed his daughter to draw beautiful renditions of John, Paul, Ringo and George on the wall of her bedroom during the mid sixties. The drawings were still there in 1999 when I last visited Pittsburgh!!! My aunt, who now lives in the East End, saw the them while visiting her parents around the time I dropped in. Ken J.
