No longer a mystery, as the picture on page 51 of Smith's book confirms the
location as an inbound 64 car on Coal St. at Jane St. The car stop sign in
this picture:
http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/htm/rhp194.htm
is visible in the Smith photo at roof line of 1547, directly above the 'H'
in Hamilton. Also see configeration of wires on pole line. By standing at
the curb, Roberta lined up the poles in her view.
For comparison, this view at Euclid and Bunkerhill terminal of 71/73 does
not include a carstop sign and configeration of wires on pole line is
different.

Not helping is that both locations have headway recorder on inbound side of
line pole before the switch, and in both cases, track area is paved with
'Belgium blocks' and macadam to curb. Also, both include a curb cut, in
Roberta's case for older home next to Jane St. 'loop'. (the garage was
behind the house)
Also supporting the Jane St. location, Coal St. was level for first 2-3
blocks from this location, then encountered a one block grade to rise up to
Rebecca St. That matches the terrain in Hill's photo.
