The Dormont wye was serviceable right up to trhe end of
street running in Mt. Lebanon -- on the last day of the
42/38 line, special trips were made on the Washington Road
poart for the "last day" celebration. Cars ran all day
between Clearview Loop and the Dormont wye. Refular
service cars to Pittsburgh were also wyed at Dormont that day.

As Fred mentioned, after 1963 it was used for rush hour trippers signed
42--DORMONT --- not unlike trippers signed 43--NEELD. Don't know when
the
wye was discontinued. Probably kept until the line was shut down for
rebuilding.
