Or the superior suspension of the PCC. U.S. automobiles of the '50s had cushy
seats and most of them handled terribly. The spongy "boulevard ride" was enough to
get a person seasick at a steady 70 mph on a slightly worn Interstate.

Hee-hee-hee. :-) True. But they remained up to the task long enough for the South
