Steve Kuznetzov was involved in this with his ex-wife's family. I don't
know all the gory details.

Ray Corley maintains a listing of all preserved PCC cars. The latest
copy I have from him, however, is dated September 1998, and he is sometimes
dependent on the generosity of others for data, so here's a starting point
and who can add to it or correct it:

    1138 Duhhh! Acq 3/61

1440 Seashore Acq 6/68 (from here on I'll drop the "acq"

    1467 PTM 6/68

    1605 Ed Mitchell, Uniontown 9/72, scrapped 6/94

    1626 Ed Mitchell 9/72

    1632
    1650

    1661 all as 1626

1703 Viuntage Electric Streetcar, Windber, PA 1991 or 92

1705 Power Semiconductor. New Castle PA 11-95

    1711 Duhhh again, 4/90

1713 Penn-Ohio Elec Rwy Assoc, Ashley PA 5/98

1716 Power Semiconductor, E Pittsburgh 8-91, scrapped after fire Mar
7-95

    1718 as 1716

    1721 PSM Technologies 6-90, scrapped 5-96

    1723 as 1716

1724 Historical Soiciety of Western PA, Pittsburgh, 6-95

    1726 as 1716

1728 Ed Miller for Penn-Ohio Electric, Ashley OH 6-95 (Corley has 10-95
bracketed, don't know why)

    1730 PSM Technologies, E Pittsburgh 6-90, scrapped 5-96

1734 Cincinnati St Rwy Inc 10-91, sale later rescinded and sold to PSM
Technologies 11-95, scrapped 5-96

1736 PSA, New Castle PA 11-95 (perhaps another aborted sale top CSR
Inc)

1737 Ed Mitchell, Uniontown PA 11-95

1738 Vintage Elec, Windber PA 1991 or 1992

    1741 as 1738

1745 Ed Mitchell, Uniontown PA 3-98

    1748 as 1716

    1750 as 1738

1754 as 1738 but one record shows sold to CSR Inc in 7-94 - confusion
here.

1761 to CSR Inc, Cincinnati OH 7-94 for restoration as CSR 1175 (oh boy
that's a good one) but scrapped after 3-97 flood.

    1764 as 1734

    1766 as 1734

    1771 as 1738

1772 Ohio Railway Museum, Worthington OH 6-90 (there you go, Ken)

1773 PSA, NEw Castle PA 12-05

1788 II ex-1639 Ed Miller and Dave Buechler 3-95, acquired from Kenova
RR Museum, WV who got it in 1991, originally sold to Pittsburgh History &
Landm, arks Foundation 1987 and stored at Arden briefly, now to go to
Penn-Ohio Electric Railway Assn for restoration as 1639 (whewww!! , that
wore me out)

1794 II ex-1669 Ed Mitchell, Uniontown PA 6-91, body only, apparently
car SFS 4-84, don't know interim history

1797 II ex-1644, Northern Ohio RR Museum, Medina OH 12-86, for
restoration back to 1644

1799 II ex-1613 according to Corley but my list shows ex-1640 (OK guys,
who's right? Should be a no brainer for everyone but us frozen Canucks),
PTM 7-87

1976 ex-1784 II ex-1603, Ron Jedlicka, Harbor Hills OH 12-86

4002 PSA, new Castle PA 3-98

4003 Ed Mitchell, Uniontown PA 3-98

4006 Ron Jedlicka, Pataskala OH (on display at Columbus OH last we
heard) 5-98

    4010 as 4003

4011 Ron Jedlicka, Pataskala OH (to Buckeye Lake, Harbor Hills) 5-98

    4012 ex-4000 as 1976.

So, let's have the corrections, all you fanatics!

I do know that Pittsburgh PCC 1644 is there. It is in a mod
yellow/white/yellow scheme, but with its original painted on.
Charlie Brown has suggested that a definitive roster of preserved and
privately owned Pittsburgh cars be put together as a reference for the rest
of us. We all know some of these cars will change hands again or wind up
scrapped, but if we can put together a list now, it would simply need an
annual or bi-annual update to remain accurate. It could be included in the
Trolley Fare once a year.

        Who's on first?
Now I'm confused. If 1713 was never at Worthington, is there a 1700
class
there now? Or did Ed's car just stop by on its way to whereever it
is stored
now. And I agree with Mr. Lybarger, it must be the car at Ashley.

I seem to remember Worthington getting an ex Cincinnati/ex TTC car
with hopes
of restoring it. It was in bad shape, of course outside. Then I
heard they
cut it up and saved what they could - trucks, or whatever. Can
anyone verify
        this story.
