We had the Irish Third Ward until the construction of I-94 and the
expansion of Downtown. Still, triskaidekaphobia seemed rather common
among many nationalities in Milwaukee.

You're right, Don. At least about the good ol' German Lutherans. :-)
There were others, though who would miss work on Friday the Thirteenth.
But come Monday the Sixteenth, they'd hop a 1300 on Route 13- Clybourn
and head to their jobs. I guess transit numbers were not considered "part
of the formula" the way something "more natural" such as dates, time or
number of petals on a daisy were

I wonder if combining Route 13 with Route 6 with a dash instead of a
fraction may have been a sign of Pittsburgh Railways'  triskaidekaphobia?
Wait a minute, they did that with Route 14, too, didn't they? Ken J.
