[PRCo] Estate Sale: Possible Benefits to this Group

I've just acquired a collection of trolley books from an estate, purely by chance. I walked into the local hobby shop last Wednesday and the owner said "have I got a deal for you". He was right, I picked up 7 books I'd been looking for on eBay and had had no luck, or lost in bidding.

Those surplus to my needs are for sale, all very good condition, maybe a few jacket nicks here and there. For members of this group (plus one other person obtaining a bcc of this) I'll offer them at the prices shown below less 25%, plus at-cost postage, first come first served, a good way to fill any holes in the collection. The titles available are:

50 Years of Progressive Transit (Toronto), HC, faded dust jacket, otherwise very good - US $40 (because of the faded jacket)

Stampede City Streetcars (Calgary), HC, Railfare Publications, US$35

TM Milwaukee (yes, the big CERA tome), HC, US$125

Toronto Civic Railways by Bill Hood, SC version, US$30

Edmonton's Electric Transit, HC by Railfare (I HAVE TWO FOR SALE), US$40 @

PCC From Coast to Coast by himself, US$75

Mind the Doors Please (Toronto, HC by late L Partridge, not a real history, just a reminiscence and lots of pix (again I HAVE TWO FOR SALE) US $30 for a first edition and US$25 for a second edition (both same quality)

The TTC Story, (Toronto, first 75 years by Filey), again not a history, usual Filey factual errors abound but nice pix US$20

Early Electric Cars of Philadelphia (Cox SC) US$30

Surface Cars of Philadelphia 1911-1965 (Cox SC) US$30

both of the Philadelphia's as a parcel - US$50

Loyalist City Streetcars, St John New Brunswick (HC Railfare) US$25

>From Horse Power to Horsepower, SC, another Filey tome, some auto stuff as well, US$25

The Witts (Toronto) by Partridge, HC (the rarer of his two books), US$50

Story of the British Columbia Electric, HC, huge (not as huge as TM but huge), very rare, superb book, US$50

The prices will be my reserves on eBay, if I list them.

I don't know the addresses of all the members of this group or I would have sent this privately to each. If anyone in the group is interested in any of these, please contact me privately at johnfbromley at home.com

Also, if anyone still wants the PAT color charts let me know at the same address and I'll send a copy. Those previously asking for it should now have them, as the eMails went out on schedule last Thursday.

Best regards,

John

  Good afternoon John -

Last week when you asked for those of us interested in the paint charts your
working up, I think my mind was on overbidding on e bay items, and I didn't
  respond.

I certainly am interested in the charts, and I do enjoy seeing some of the
  prices too.
Must admit I have overspent to get back books I once had and sold, only now
to find I shouldn't have sold them.
