Greetings!

On the 14th and 15th of March this year, we were talking about the
setting of electric turnouts on PRCo.

The rule was that the dash toggle ONLY was used to set for a diverge
movement -- the power pedal was NOT an acceptable method of setting
the turnout.

Here is a copy of Message-id:--<39D7AAE1.2F3D at pacbell.net>, Date: Sun,

Greetings!

Gleanings from *Trolley Fare* "Pittsburgh Points"
by Edward H. Lybarger and Lawrence. G. Lovejoy,
			November--December--1978:

"(Track switches can be operated to the diverging position in two
ways: 1)--the normal -and approved- method of actuating the toggle
switch on the dashboard, and 2)--the alternate and prohibited method of
depressing the power pedal as the car passes under the contactor.
Either method causes the car to draw a current of approximately 60
amperes, and causes the switch to throw to the curve. In the absence of
either of these actions, the switch will stay at or automatically be
thrown to the straight direction.)"
