I remember one night in 1943 when I was riding an outbound 
3800 to Charleroi, the operator stopped the car at Overbrook 
and disappeared into the small store on the corner for a 
full 15 minutes -- don't know why but the presumption 
among the passengers was that he had become ill.  He was 
replaced by a relief operator who apparently came up from 
Tunnel CH by taxicab.
